Nevermore - June Update

Hey Folks,
This is going to be a short update since I just posted a couple weeks ago, but I wanted to keep my promise to give an update at the beginning of every month.
My final pass is coming along well and I'm hoping to hand it off for further review sometime next week. It's been really good to dive back in, and a short visit to Baltimore this past weekend definitely revived my excitement and kindled my inspiration. I can't wait to get the core book finished so that I can tackle the adventures that are part of the stretch goals.
Like I said, this is short update. I'll be back arond the beginning of July and with a little bit of luck the process will be further along. Thank you for hanging in there with me!
Stay Safe!

Hey Folks!
I know its been a while. As I mentioned in my last post I had a lot of personal stuff going on and I had to hit the pause button. The good news is that things have settled down and I am able to get back to work ad wrap up Nevermore ASAP.
So, whats the timeline?
I need approximately another 3 weeks to clean up and review the layout for the core book. After that, I'm having another developer with more experience in layout give it a once over. (I expect that could take 3-4 weeks.) Finally, I have to get the book proofed. (Probably another 2-3 weeks.) So, we're looking at the PDF being ready sometime toward the end of July.
I wan to thank all of you for your patience. I know this has taken a LOT longer than I had stated and I feel terrible about that. I made some rookie mistakes and life hit me pretty hard. I just hope the wait is worth it.
From this point on, expect an update on or around the 1st of every month.
Take care everyone!

Nevermore - February Update

Hey Folks~
I wish I had more to offer you this month, but January has been a month of personal and family illness crisis. Everyone is fine now, but it was a rough month. My wife and I are also in the process of moving up to Pennsylvania to help out family there. I'm going to miss my friends here in the Atlanta area, but it will also be nice to be able to see friends and family up north again. I've also been hard at work on the new edition of The Expanse RPG for Green Ronin Publishing. They pay my bills, so work has to be my priority.
All this is to say that I have made almost no forward progress on Nevermore this month. We're currently planning to make the move around the end of February, so as soon as we get settled in, I'll be able to dive back in and wrap up Nevermore.
Finally, I want to say to all of you who are immigrants, trans, POC, and others who are being placed in danger by our current government, my thoughts are with you, and I'm here if you need me. I will do what I can. Difficult times are ahead for all of us. We need to stick together. Take care and be safe.

The initial layout for all 10 chapters of Nevermore is complete! It seems hard to believe, and I can't describe the relief. I want to thank all of you for hanging in with me. I know it's taken longer than I hoped and expected, but I think you'll all be happy with the final book. There's still a lot to do, clean-up, proofing, indexing, etc. but the text is done.
With the tail end of the holidays and the fact that I'm moving mid-January, I hesitate to put a date on when the final PDF will be ready, and the book will go to print but I will say sooner rather than later. Before the index and bibliography the book comes in at 279 pages. I'll post a new update as soon as I have a more solid idea as to when the final PDF will be ready.
With that, I'll wish you a very Happy New Year and let you get back to your festivities.
Nevermore October 2024 Update

Hey Folks,
September was a super busy month. As many of you probably know I'm also the developer for The Expanse RPG for Green Ronin, and we just had a crowdfunder for a new edition, a few new books, and minis. As you can imagine, I was working double time to keep up with stuff. I was still working on the layout for Nevermore but it had to take second fiddle for a bit. Not to mention that Chapter 5, being the rules chapter, was probably the most difficult chapter. BUt its done!
I'm currently well into Chapter 6 and things are coming along smoothly. I also got a number of new art pieces in from Amanda Kahl and Don Higgins which included sigils for each of the cabals. Check out the Nepenthe Games social media for a few previews.
I'm really hoping to have the PDF to folks before the end of the year. Fibgers crossed.
Make sure to follow Nepenthe Games on Facebook for more updates.
Happy early All Hallows to you all!
